our mission

Forgotten Felines, Inc. is a charitable, non-profit organization with a mission to stop the proliferation of homeless cats living hard lives and struggling to find food and shelter on the streets of our local communities. We have all the cats we rescue spayed or neutered, vaccinated, given thorough health exams, and tested for feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV).

At our no-kill shelter, we provide nutritious food, warm beds and expert care to as many cats as possible with the goal of finding them permanent, loving homes. We release feral cats into managed colonies where they are fed and sheltered.

our history

Forgotten Felines was founded over 15 years ago to help meet the growing needs of the homeless cat population on the Connecticut shoreline.

We currently have over 75 active volunteers, most of whom have full-time jobs. We are not open to the public with posted hours, and book all visits by appointment.

Our service area includes Guilford, Madison, Clinton, Killingworth, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Essex, Ivoryton, Deep River and Chester.
